Round Ten Weekly Round up

Once again the only change in the table this week has seen the fierce battle for third and fourth place between Tim & Andrew continue with Tim regaining third place. However, the gap between top and bottom has narrowed slightly with the top four contestants in the overall league all finishing in the bottom four places for the weekly round.

Finally John G has made his move after weeks of anonymity - he scored nine points this week, including correctly predicting the scores for three out of the four games on Sunday. This has left him as this week's guru. Andrew takes the Maize award for only scoring five points - the same as Joel but Joel managed to correctly predict a scoreline. Alastair put in an unusually good score of eight points, including two correct predictions. However, it was still not enough to lift him off the bottom of the table. A quiet week for James G has meant his lead at the top has been reduced to four points.

Tim continues to lead the way when it comes to predicting scorelines. This week he managed his sixth consecutive week of correctly predicting at least one scoreline. This has put his total up to fourteen for the season. Alastair is brining up the rear with only six correct scorelines. James G leads the way with fifty-five correctly predicted results - leading Tim by two. Again, Alastair is down the bottom of the table with forty-six points.

It has been a good week for some with their goal scorers. Despite only picking up five points from his predictions, Joel has kept the pressure on with two goals from Drogba and a further point from McCarthy. Despite dumping him for this coming week's fixtures, Tim got an extra two points from Tevez. James E profited from Rooney's good form with a bonus point. Andrew Robb has also been picking up the goal scorer bonus points thanks to another from Keane. Yakubu finally got on the score sheet for John G, completing a very successful week for him. Only one more week and then the transfer window closes and strikers score double points...

All transfers for the coming weekend fixtures must be in by the end of tomorrow. All transfers for the closure of the transfer window must be by 7th November (all transfers after this coming weekend's fixtures will take immediate effect, i.e. there is no five day standstill period).
