Round Twelve Weekly Roundup

It has been an unprecedented week for correct scoreline predictions. Three people correctly predicted three or more scorelines and in total fourteen correct predictions were made. It also meant that Sunderland v Newcastle became the most predictable scoreline of the season so far with five people correctly predicting it would finish 1-1. But what does this all mean? Well, John N had a monstrous week predicting four scorelines correctly and racking up eleven points. Andrew and Tim were not too far behind predicting three correct scorelines and racking up nine points.

The bad news falls upon James E and John G unfortunately. Neither of them predicted a correct scoreline and both of them will be sharing the Maize this week with only five points a piece.

It was also a good round for goal scorers. Ronaldo's brace ensured that Tim jumped over Joel and grabbed second place in the overall standings - showing that all his bravado and big talk of last week was not entirely ill-founded. Torres did a good job for Andrew, Adebayor ensured a bonus point for James G and Drogba's goal meant that Joel has the most productive strike force in the game.

Tim is still the magic man when it comes to predicting scorelines correctly. He is now up to 18 - three times as many Alastair. James G is the daddy at predicting the outcome of a game still with 68 - eleven more than last placed Alastair.

The table looks much the same. James G still leads, but Tim has leap frogged Joel and cut James G's lead to just three points. Apparently he is not too worried about it though as he doesn't rate Tim and think he has been very lucky up to now. Apparently. Andrew and John N are also closing the gap on the top three. However Alastair still has much work to do to get back in the game - he is three points adrift of the rest of James E who is two points adrift of John G who is a massive seven points adrift of John N.
