Round Six Weekly Round up

It has been just about the worse round yet for predictions. Four players scored a pathetic three points, while on John N (this week's guru) was the only one to score over five points - though only managing a just about respectable six points. This week's maize award is won jointly by James G and perennial loser, Alastair. However, while these two numbnuts only predicted the outcome of three games correctly, Tim and John G only got the outcome of two games right - but were saved from embarrassment by correctly predicting one scoreline each.

In fact, Tim is by far and away the guru when it comes to predicting score lines having racked up his tenth correct prediction this week. James G still narrowly leads the way with correctly predicting the right result of a games.

However, the big news of the week is James G's masterminding of the transfer market. After transferring out 10 point Drogba for the better valued seven point Adebayor (gaining him three points in the overall standings) Adebayor then went on to score a hat trick at the weekend - scoring a massive six points and propelling James G to the top of the league. Viduka scored a brace of goals to boost John N's total, while Tevez and Keane also scored a point each for Tim and Andrew.

Round Five Weekly Round up

Round Five has really separated the men from the mice. The weak from the chaff. Tim from Alastair. This week's guru, Tim, scored a very impressive 8 points predicting three correct results in the process (including the 1-0 win for Derby over Newcastle!); while three times Football numbuts and Maize award winner, Alastair, only scored a pathetic two points. Oh the shame.

Though despite Alastair's dismal week, it wasn't bad enough to lodge James E off the bottom of the table. Tim's great week was also enough to topple Joel off the top of the league table.

James G six correct result predictions puts him at the top of the correct results predictions table with 27 results correctly forecast. Andrew is lagging behind with only 22.

Any transfers in time for Saturday's fixtures must be in today. All predictions for round six in at the usual time please.

Weekly Roundup: Round Four

After being last week's Football Numbnuts, Alastair has come good by winning the weekly Guru award with a total of eight points this week. He also scored a further point through a Berbatov goal. Joel also regained his form this week clocking up seven points and a bonus through a McCarthy goal for Blackburn, which also puts him back at the top of the leader board.

John N has gone from Guru to Numbnuts, only managing an embarrassing 3 points this week; whilst James E has had another average week scoring only five - securing him last place on the leader board.

Alastair and James G are currently the most effective at predicting the result of a game, correctly forecasting 21 games each. Tim and John N are currently the leaders when it comes to predicting correct score lines with six each.
